Glow Bricks are the Best thing since the invention of the TV remote.  Ok well almost :)

A ghostly lovely glowing light bulb is entombed in a clear acrylic brick, which lounges about by day, quietly sucking up the solar energy created by the sun, then takes centre stage by night by emiting its errie glow..

At dusk, the light starts glowing all green and mysterious, showing an awesome staying power throughout the darkest hours. The overall effect is of a disembodied shining light bulb suspended in mid air, which, you'd have to agree, is not something you see every day.

On a functional level, it makes a handy, low-maintenance security light. On a frivolous level, it's a jolly nice talking piece for people who like to talk in dark rooms.

'Woo-ooo-o-o-o!' Ok we were trying to scare you but I am sure it did not work!!. Not a very convincing ghost, granted, but we are pretty sure you will try and make the same sound when you check out the new green and blue Glow Bricks.  Kinda spooky and kinda cool all in one.

The thick block of acrylic makes a spectacular converstation piece as a source of ambient lighting. It containes a disembodied phosphorescent light bulb ( Yes a real glass bulb inside) that seems to float within its transparent surroundings.
As darkness falls, the bulb begins to glow a ghostly shade of green, gently bathing its surroundings in ethereal emerald light.

Stranger still, the Glow Brick seems to be powered by phantom forces, as there's no power cord, battery box or on/off switch.
But don't go jumping under the bed in distress - this ingenious piece of mood lighting is actually solar powered. It spends the day soaking up natural light in order to gently glow by night.

Meet the modern reincarnation of that early awesome favorite the Glow Brick.   This is for the people who don't need the high tech look but would still like the ambiance this unit will provide at night  The Sun Jar, left, rectifies that tech look and gives you the country look, using a small solarSuck uk PV cell and a super efficient LED to glow softly after dusk falls.

 

You have seen them store strawberry jam, some hold spices  coffee, sugar even nuts and bolts but you’ve never seen a jam jar that stores sunlight…..until now.
